Description
The ‘nuts’ Jacob sent as part of a gift to Egypt’s vizier are usually identified as pistachios and walnuts, exotic enough that they signaled genuine wealth and goodwill. They traveled in the same caravan as balm, honey, myrrh, and spices — a basket curated to impress.
