About ScriptureFoods
ScriptureFoods is a plain reference to every food named in the Bible — grains, fruit, herbs, fish, birds, beasts and drink. Each entry gathers what Scripture actually says: how often the food appears, the verses it lives in, its Hebrew or Greek term where one exists, and whether the Law of Moses calls it clean.
A note on method. Frequencies are verse counts computed from the King James Version; clean/unclean classifications follow Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14. Where a food is not named directly, the entry says so and points to the rule that covers it rather than inventing a verse.
ScriptureFoods documents scripture and history; it is not medical or pastoral advice.
