Description
Sparrows were the cheapest birds sold in the marketplace, worth so little that five could be bought for two small coins. Jesus used their low price to make the opposite point: even the least valuable creature on the market is not forgotten by God.

Luke 12:6
Symbolism
God’s attentive care for even the least significant creature — ‘not one of them is forgotten before God’ (Luke 12:6).
